SET DESIGN / STILL LIFE
I enjoy being hands-on in all aspects of a design project. I find this makes me create a more personal connection to the designs. I typically see the sets or photo ideas in my head first before I envision what the graphic identity could be likely because I initially studied photography / videography.
ANALOG DESIGN
Analog design is something that is becoming widely popular in the graphic design space. I enjoy taking a pencil to paper first approach and seeing how it might add character to the designs I am working on. I can even think of some out-of-the box ideas when using this design technique and almost always it creates a closer connection between the brands values and the visual identity.
MOCKUP PHOTOGRAPHY
Mockups are useful when showcasing designs to clients. I can’t always assume a client can envision the final product of my designs the way I do. I try to photograph mockup imagery that visually relates to the brand I am working on. This way, not only can clients grasp a sense of the final product, but get a feel for the brand as a whole and immediately feel connected to the images they are seeing in a more personal way.
