contraception
misconception
Currently, there are 19 million women of reproductive age living in the US who are in need of publicly funded contraception and live in contraceptive deserts.
Contraception/contraceptive deserts are counties that lack reasonable access to a health center that offers the full range of contraceptive methods.
Julie, an emergency contraception brand, is the driving force behind the conceptual campaign, Contraception Misconception, designed to raise awareness and provide education to women living in contraception deserts. The campaign aims to empower women with knowledge about their reproductive health options, promote community engagement, and advocate for improved access to contraception in these underserved areas.
The Contraception Misconception campaign will focus on the idea of “barriers” being what gets in-between women and contraceptives, whether it be myths that pose as threats to physical and mental health, or living in a county deemed a contraception desert.
This campaign will turn real life barriers into educational devices to raise awareness on resources available for those living in contraception deserts and proper knowledge on the myths that surround contraception.

print materials
Print materials will be used to promote resources fighting for contraceptive access, explanations on contraception, and shine light on Julie as a brand whose most important attribute is being able to purchase their emergency contraception online, an impactful resource for those living in contraception deserts where emergency contraception too, can be hard to find.
taking action
Julie’s pink truck branded for the Contraception Misconception campaign, will drive to counties known as contraception deserts sharing knowledge to those affected on Telehealth methods, contraception break-downs, and what organizations and businesses exist that support their community.
